The 9th West Wickham Scout Group caters for young people from Bromley with special needs (usually learning difficulties, sometimes combined with physical disabilities), from ages 8 to 25yrs. We need some new volunteers to help our members to participate in games and activities, encouraging individual skills and teamwork, enjoyment and fun. There are four groups - Cubs and Scouts (age 8-11yrs), Explorers (age 14-18yrs), Network (age 19-25yrs) and Fellowship age 25yrs+.
We invite anybody interested in joining us to get in touch and come along on a Friday night to see how we work.
If you do decide to join us, you will be welcome to contribute to the planning and decision making processes which go towards running a busy, happy and successful Special Needs Scout Group. Volunteers are required to complete a DBS check (formerly an enhanced CRB), which we will organise.
