The mainline volunteer will be the initial point of contact for enquiries coming through the BCWA mainline. The mainline volunteer’s role includes;
- Identifying the service a client requires.
- directing enquiries to the correct department
- taking professionals and client’s contact details and passing them on to the relevant service/person
- signposting callers to other organisations where appropriate
- assisting with general admin duties
- taking the lead on specified research projects relating to the collation of information, resources and service available.
