The Odd Girl In is an inclusive space for neurodivergent teenage girls in Croydon, delivered in partnership with Bright Futures 4 All. The project offers a supportive group setting where girls can learn, explore their interests, make friends, and simply be themselves.
Over 12 months, participants will be encouraged to discover their strengths and grow beyond the unfair limits that may have been placed on them, whether through experiences such as living in care, being a young carer, or navigating social anxiety. Through weekly sessions blending mentorship with artistic and cultural activities, they will be supported in building confidence and developing leadership skills.
The programme will culminate in a 3-day outdoor residential adventure; marking not only a celebration of their journey, but also the creation of lasting friendships, shared memories, and a strengthened sense of belonging.
