The Respect the Game programme is designed to support at-risk young people in Croydon through delivering mentoring and artist development. Delivered in partnership with Syrus Consultancy, the programme offers weekly sessions where participants learn to use equipment, write lyrics and poetry, produce music, and create music videos.
The programme is an opportunity for vulnerable young people to access a professional recording studio and equipment - resources that are often difficult to access. As an after-school workshop, it offers a safe and secure environment, helping to divert participants away from engaging in risky activities.
All participants will be supported to complete a Bronze Arts Award, which is especially beneficial to those who are out of education. At the end of each cohort, they will showcase their skills and achievements at an award ceremony, where they will perform in front of a live audience.
