ARCC’s ‘Unfolding Layers’ project is a culturally appropriate mental health initiative tailored for South Asian communities. The program provides FREE mental health support that is meaningful, respectful and accessible - addressing long-standing gaps in mainstream services.
Background
Mainstream mental health services often do not fully address the specific challenges faced by South Asians, including cultural stigma, language barriers and a lack of culturally sensitive care. These factors can prevent individuals from seeking the support they need.
What We Offer
Services are delivered in a safe, supportive and culturally competent environment where participants feel heard and understood. Our counsellors also speak second languages to better support those facing language-related barriers. Group therapy aims to reduce stigma, encourage peer learning, and make mental health support more accessible within the community.
